Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable PCV Coach Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and communication skills to ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey for all passengers. You will be working on a variety of School runs and associated transport plus private hires and the occasional day trips.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate coaches adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure safety and roadworthiness
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing assistance as needed
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and vehicle maintenance requirements
- Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and management to ensure clear understanding of schedules and routes
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for passengers and staff
Skills
- Proven experience as a coach driver
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Some mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Demonstrable driving skills with a valid driver licence or equivalent qualification
- Good organisational abilities to manage schedules and routes efficiently
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
- Possessing or happy to obtain an enhanced DBS
Pay: £15.00 per hour
