Job Introduction
Trust Care Management is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day leadership and operation of our residential care service in Peterborough.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care while leading and developing a dedicated team. As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and creating a safe, supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day leadership and management of the home.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and CQC Fundamental Standards.
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and support the care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individual care plans.
- Promote residents' dignity, independence, wellbeing, and choice.
- Assist with recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and staff development.
- Ensure accurate care records, medication records, and documentation are maintained.
- Monitor quality standards through audits, observations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention, and best practice throughout the service.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Foster a positive, professional, and supportive culture within the home.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards).
- Minimum two years' experience as a Senior Carer, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, or similar role within residential care.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
- Experience supervising and supporting care staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, GDPR, and risk management.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
