We are seeking an organised and customer-focused Trade Sales and Service Administrator to support our sales and service operations. The role involves processing orders, supporting trade customers, coordinating deliveries, managing service issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the order process.
This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work efficiently under pressure, and is confident managing competing priorities independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders, quotations, and sales documentation accurately.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide order, stock, and delivery updates.
- Coordinate deliveries and liaise with multiple courier providers.
- Manage courier claims and resolve delivery issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM and Sage systems.
- Support the sales team and maintain strong trade customer relationships.
- Communicate lead times, delivery schedules, and order progress to customers.
- Work closely with, and report to, the Sales Director regarding stock issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
- Prioritise workloads effectively and adapt to changing business demands in a fast-moving environment.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in fast-paced sales administration, customer service, trade support, or a similar role.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and order processing systems.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience in trade, manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution environments.
- Working knowledge of Sage 200.
- Experience managing stock, deliveries, and multiple courier providers.
- Experience handling courier claims and customer service resolutions.
- Ability to provide alternative solutions when required due to stock or supply issues.
