Salary: £26,500–£28,387 per annum (depending on experience) + Bonus potential
Progression: Opportunity to progress to Senior Debt Advisor (starting salary from £29,000)
Location: Birchwood, Warrington (WA3 7PB) – office based, hybrid working (maximum 2 days a week) available after probation/training
Hours & shift pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- 3 shifts: 9:00am–5:00pm
- 2 shifts: 11:00am–7:00pm
- 1 Saturday in 4 rota (paid overtime)
This role includes a rotating shift pattern, so applicants should be comfortable working a mix of early and later weekday shifts.

About the role
As a Debt Advisor, you'll support customers who are experiencing financial difficulty by providing clear, balanced and tailored debt advice to help them make informed decisions.
You'll:
- Speak with customers to understand their financial situation and complete affordability assessments
- Recommend suitable debt solutions based on customer circumstances and eligibility
- Support customers throughout their application and follow up where required
- Deliver advice that is clear, fair and not misleading
- Work within FCA regulations and company procedures to achieve good customer outcomes
- Manage customer enquiries using our CRM and internal systems
What we're looking forEssential
- Previous experience as a Debt Advisor
- Excellent telephone and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of debt solutions and affordability assessments
- Ability to build rapport and support vulnerable customers
- Able to multitask, prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
- Must be able to reliably commute to Birchwood, Warrington (WA3)
Ideal experience
Experience in one or more of the following is essential:
- FCA-regulated debt advice
- Debt Management Plans (DMPs)
- Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs)
- Vulnerability and affordability assessments
- Target or KPI-driven environments
