Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional guest service in a dynamic restaurant environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcomed upon arrival
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing recommendations when appropriate
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Ensure guest satisfaction by attending promptly to their needs and queries
- Handle payments accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale system
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including table setup and clearing
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards diligently during all service activities
- Assist with basic food preparation or kitchen duties as required during quieter periods
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
