Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Candidates must possess a valid driving licence and have previous experience in commercial driving or delivery roles. A strong understanding of flatbed operations is not necessary.
Duties
- Safely deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Assist with organising deliveries in the warehouse or storage areas as required.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with less than 6 points.
- Experience as a delivery driver, is a plus but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Good physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
