Newport Youth Academy is a further education training provider in Newport delivering on Welsh Governments Jobs Growth Wales+ programme aimed at 16 – 19 year olds not in education, employment or training.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Newport Youth Academy Team within the Work and Skills Service at Newport City Council.
Through the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) we are looking to recruit an Employment Liaison Officer to join the forward-thinking team. The post will work to the set objectives as per JD, but predominantly focussing on building relations with local employers and partner organisations to provide opportunities for young people for work placements and employment opportunities.
We are looking to recruit an individual who is passionate about the future of young people and the opportunities that they may be presented with. They must have experience in planning, leading, organising and evaluating projects. Having strong communication and organisational skills, with proven ability to work with a diverse range of individuals and organisations.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (formerly CRB)
