Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team.
Supporting 11-16 year olds with EBD in an established home in Stafford ST16 and another home in Rugeley.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people in residential care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children, supporting their development and well-being through personalised care and guidance.
Duties
- Deliver high-quality care tailored to individual child care plans, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
- Support children with daily activities, meal preparation, and recreational pursuits.
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, active listening, and empathetic engagement.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies in line with organisational policies and child-specific care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress reports using IT systems.
- Drive children to educational appointments, healthcare visits, or recreational outings as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each child's needs.
- Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a residential is essential.
- Valid driving licence.
- NVQ Level 3 Children & Young Peoples workforce more than 70% completed.

Pay: £34,200.00-£36,600.00 per year
