About Us
Nurturing Souls Care is opening a brand-new children’s residential home in Astley Bridge, Bolton. We are seeking a caring, motivated, and experienced Lead Residential Support Worker to join our founding team.
This is a genuine opportunity to shape a home from the ground up — creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive.
You will work alongside an experienced Registered Manager and a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality care in line with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and our therapeutic model based on PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and trauma-informed practice.
Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Your Role
As a Lead Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in both direct care delivery and shift leadership, ensuring safe, consistent, and high-quality practice at all times.
You will model best practice, support staff development, and contribute to a positive, reflective, and child-centred culture within the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, trauma-informed care and emotional support to children and young people
- Lead shifts effectively, ensuring safe staffing, clear delegation, and strong practice oversight
- Implement and review individualised care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Promote positive behaviour through relational practice aligned with PACE principles
- Build trusting, consistent relationships that support emotional regulation and development
- Plan and participate in purposeful activities that promote resilience, independence, and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate, high-quality records in line with Ofsted and organisational standards (e.g. daily logs, incident reports, keywork)
- Work in partnership with families, social workers, education providers, and other professionals
- Support safeguarding processes and respond appropriately to concerns in line with policy and legislation
- Assist the Registered Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-run home
- Transport young people to school, appointments, and activities
