We are looking for a Software Engineer who can take direct ownership of our core system applications. You aren't just writing code; you are building the digital backbone of our physical operations. You will work on-site at our Penistone Road facility, bridging the gap between complex engineering requirements and reliable software solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Stack Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, testable, and reliable C# / .NET code alongside intuitive Web interfaces.
- System Architecture & APIs: Create, optimize, and manage RESTful APIs and relational SQL databases to connect internal tools with broader operational platforms.
- Legacy & Integration Upgrades: Troubleshoot, debug, and modernize existing software systems to maintain high uptime, security, and performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to translate operational needs into clean software requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, maintain version control standards (Git), and establish thorough testing procedures for all deployed software.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Full Stack Developer working in production environments.
- Technical Mastery: Strong command of C#, .NET / .NET Core, SQL Server, and core front-end languages (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
- Location & Presence: Ability to work full-time on-site at our Penistone Road location in Sheffield (S6 3BN).
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A practical, hands-on engineering approach. You know how to debug complex logic under real-world constraints.
- Communication: Clear, confident communication skills to explain technical choices to non-technical stakeholders and engineering teams.
Pay: £40,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
