Job Overview
We are seeking an early morning Part-Time Packer to join our warehouse distribution team on a temporary to permanent basis. You will be able to join the company product discount scheme, which will give you huge savings on essential food products and perishables.
Core Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 2am till 6am, 4-hours per shift, 20-hours per week.
If client orders increase, then you may be able to gain additional hours.
Hourly Pay Rate: £12.71 to £12.75 per hour.
Own transport essential due to early morning hours and no public transport links.
If you live in Totton, Redbridge, Nursling, Shirley, or Freemantle areas then you could use a bike or scooter to get to work but it would take up to 30-minutes.
Start Date: Early September.
Overview:
- Working in a controlled temperature environment of 5 degrees.
- Using a picklist to complete orders.
- Working on your feet, lifting and carry items, completing physical duties.
- Follow instructions, when tasks finished, supporting other team members.
- If client orders increase, then you may be able to gain additional hours.
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, including picking & packing, stocking.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures for heavy lifting.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks involving lifting and load/unload activities across all 5 shifts every week.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team, must be fluent in English written and verbal, able to complete health and safety.
- Must live in Southampton and have your own vehicle or live locally.
