Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation for our culinary team. Previous kitchen or hotel experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised according to hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold health and safety regulations
- Support with the organisation of stock and supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with environmental policies
- Assist with serving food and beverages when required, providing excellent customer service
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for colleagues and guests
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic understanding of food hygiene standards and safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays if necessary
