Duties
- Perform detailed inspections and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently and accurately
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment repair, welding, and other physically demanding tasks
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to identify faulty components and determine repair strategies
- Maintain detailed service records and document all work performed for quality assurance and compliance
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair or maintenance roles
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools used in vehicle troubleshooting
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques for repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical wiring, and suspension
- Previous experience with equipment repair or maintenance is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for motivated learners
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service to ensure positive interactions with clients
