Duties will include:
- Setting and operating 3, 4 & 5 axis milling machines to required tolerances.
- Prove out new programs, edit as necessary, liaising with design and production engineering as directed Use of Fanuc controls.
- Tool setting on CNC machines. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Use of manual measuring equipment. Loading and unloading parts onto machines. Tapping and deburring where required.
- Cleanliness of workstations during and at the end of their shift.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety within their own and their colleagues' working environment.
- Help and assist other members of the milling cell when required Complete basic maintenance & upkeep of machines as per company TPM Schedule
- Following daily work to lists or as instructed by Team Leader
- Adhere to all Quality, Health + Safety and Environmental Policy’s, Manuals, Objectives, Process, Procedures, and Work Instructions
- Actively participate in the Hewland Think Smart/Safe program
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, notifying H&S when they need replacing

Essential:
- 3-5 Years relevant production experience
- Experience in Milling Operations
- Willing to work shifts and unsociable hours
Desirable:
- Experience in a high-quality Manufacturing environment
- Have previously run a Matsuura 3-4-5 Axis machines or similar
- Minor Fanuc programme editting
- Use of MSP probing software ref 5 axis
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour
