What you'll be doing
As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a key role in creating an inspiring environment where children feel safe, happy and excited to learn.
You'll:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support each child's individual interests and stage of development.
- Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, encouraged and confident to explore.
- Observe, assess and celebrate children's progress, using the EYFS framework to plan meaningful next steps in learning.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents and carers, working in partnership to support every child's development.
- Support children's emotional wellbeing, communication, independence and social development through warm, responsive interactions.
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and learning records to celebrate children's achievements and inform future planning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistently high standards of care, education and professionalism across the nursery.
- Support the Early Years Manager and Deputy Manager in maintaining an outstanding learning environment and contributing to the ongoing development of the nursery.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and children's wellbeing remain central to everything you do.
- Embrace the school's nurturing ethos and growth mindset, helping children become confident, curious and resilient learners.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A DfE-approved Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding.
- A warm, caring and enthusiastic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Creativity, resilience and a genuine passion for providing outstanding early years education.
