The Opportunity
Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Urban Drainage Modeller in our Reading office, where you will be part of a specialist wastewater network modelling team supporting major regulated water companies across the UK and Ireland.
Stantec’s wastewater network modelling discipline has developed a reputation as one of the industry leaders. As part of a multidisciplinary service, you will contribute to projects from conception through to delivery, supporting work that improves water quality, manages urban pollution and contributes to Stantec’s environmental commitments.

About The Role
Working alongside senior wastewater network modellers, you will support hydraulic modelling, model building, optioneering and feasibility design projects. Your core responsibilities include:
- Supporting wastewater hydraulic modelling and model-building activities.
- Contributing to optioneering and feasibility design work for complex water infrastructure challenges.
- Undertaking integrated urban drainage modelling, resilience and security of supply studies.
- Supporting surge analysis and water quality modelling activities.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, practical and sustainable solutions.
- Developing your technical skills through project work, mentoring and collaboration with experienced modellers.
We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. The applicable professional qualification routes for this role are the ICE or CIWEM.
Your Impact
This role will help deliver better outcomes for communities and the environment by supporting projects that improve water quality, manage urban pollution and strengthen the resilience of wastewater networks. Through hydraulic modelling and feasibility work, you will help clients understand infrastructure challenges, assess options and develop solutions that contribute to more sustainable water systems.
Please note, we ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that you receive sufficient time with your team and receive the appropriate level of support.
About You
