Lodge Farm Nursery School has been welcoming children and families since 1991, and we are proud to be a thriving nursery set within a beautiful agricultural farm setting in the Chippenham area, conveniently located just off the dual carriageway.
We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and dedicated team.
A nursery with a difference
Our beautiful nursery farm setting provides children with wonderful opportunities to explore, discover and learn about the natural world.
We have two friendly alpacas and chickens, and our children regularly enjoy spending time outdoors. We also provide planned weekly Forest School sessions, led by our dedicated Forest School Lead.
We believe children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore their own interests. We follow an in-the-moment planning approach, encouraging children to learn through play, curiosity and discovery.
Our free-play and free-flow environment allows children to develop their independence, make their own choices and become confident learners.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 2, Level 3 or higher qualification in Childcare/Early Years
- Has experience working with young children
- Has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Is warm, caring and enthusiastic
- Enjoys working as part of a friendly team
- Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development
- Enjoys being outdoors and getting involved in children's experiences
- Is committed to providing a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment

The role
- Permanent contract
- Full-time, 5 days per week
- All year round
- Nursery opening hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm. Working hours to be discussed.
