POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for scheduling customer orders and factory capacity planning to meet customer delivery dates and inventory goals in support of company business plans. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule customer orders and stocking orders to maximize factory capacity and required production goals.
- Achieve on time delivery to customers’ scheduled delivery.
- Use dispatch list to monitor start dates and output by manufacturing cell to meet and exceed on-time delivery metrics.
- Revise and reschedule orders to compensate for customer priorities changes, expedites and material shortages.
- Coordinate major project delivery expectations and execution.
- Release production orders utilizing MRP system. Prepare job packets with current documentation.
- Daily communication with manufacturing supervisor and cell leaders to establish and meet priorities.
- Identify material shortages and work with purchasing, Fabrication and manufacturing to resolve.
- Liaison between Production and Fabrication to manage priorities and delivery of materials needed for assembly.
- Monitor safety stock levels and product forecasting to meet inventory requirements.
- Manage ECN processing, updating work in process and inventory as required.
- Participate in the establishment and maintenance of Kanban levels for appropriate Fab replenishment items. Monitor and improve stock outs.
- Utilize computer based MRP/ERP system effectively. Manage and maintain planning factor data for optimal system output.
- Work with cross functional teams; Sales and Engineering on engineered to order projects.
- Prepare and communicate freight quotes on international shipments.
- Work safely while ensuring others do the same.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or five years or more related experience and/or training

Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with MRP systems is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Excellent PC and system knowledge, including the ability to analyze data within an MRP system
