Female Support Worker – Make Every Day Meaningful

Mencap is looking for caring and dedicated Female Support Workers to support three ladies aged 46–78 to live active, fulfilling lives.
This is a vibrant service where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting with personal care, mobility, medication, and finances, while also sharing life’s everyday joys — trips into town, cake and coffee dates, meals out, theatre and musicals, park visits, caring for animals, getting hair and nails done, and maintaining close family relationships. One lady also attends a day centre three times a week.
One individual uses a wheelchair when out in the community, and the ladies enjoy being out and about as much as possible.

A genuine passion for supporting others
Strong communication skills and a positive, empathetic approach
Flexibility to work a range of shifts
A driver is preferred
Hours: Part-time with flexible hours based on availability.
All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and references. Due to the nature of the service, this role is open to female applicants only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
