Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Assistant Cover to support our pre-school midday provision. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supervising children during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety, well-being, and enjoyment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for working with children and experience in childcare or nursery settings. Duties
- Supervise children during lunch periods, ensuring their safety and behaviour management
- Assist children with eating, encouraging good manners and independence
- Support children in socialising and engaging in appropriate activities during break times
- Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, ensuring hygiene standards are upheld
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other assistants to deliver a smooth lunchtime service
- Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents as needed
- Follow all health and safety policies, including safeguarding procedures
- Assist with any additional duties related to lunchtime supervision as directed by senior staff
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in childcare, nursery, or early childhood education settings is desirable
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children and staff
- Experience in working with diverse groups of children, including those with special needs, is beneficial

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
