We are looking for an experienced Fuel Service Engineer to join our specialist operations team based in Pilsworth, Greater Manchester.
This is a hands-on, safety-critical role involving the cleaning, inspection and maintenance of fuel storage tanks, including work in high-risk confined spaces and at height. You'll work on a variety of projects across the UK, using specialist equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
The role requires nationwide travel. While working away from home is not required every week, flexibility to stay away from Monday to Friday when projects demand is essential.
Most work is scheduled Monday to Friday, with enhanced overtime rates available for weekend work when required.
Carry out industrial cleaning of fuel and storage tanks.
Perform high-risk confined space entry and internal tank cleaning.
Undertake sludge removal and tank maintenance activities.
Operate specialist cleaning, jetting and vacuum equipment.
Assist with tank inspections, compliance works and remedial maintenance.
Work safely at height where required.
Follow all company health, safety and environmental procedures.
Travel to customer sites throughout the UK.
Represent the company professionally and deliver a high standard of service on-site.
Previous experience in fuel tank cleaning, industrial cleaning, environmental services, fuel infrastructure, drainage, or a similar industry.
High-Risk Confined Space certification.
Working at Height certification.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel and stay away from home Monday to Friday when required.
Physically fit and comfortable working in demanding industrial environments.
Strong commitment to health, safety and safe systems of work.
Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience working within COMAH, fuel, aviation, utilities, petrochemical or industrial maintenance environments.
Experience operating vacuum tankers, jetting equipment or industrial cleaning equipment.
CSCS, EUSR or Safety Passport cards.
First Aid at Work certification.
