Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Qualified Dog Groomer to join our professional pet care team. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to dogs of all breeds and sizes, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Responsibilities
- Perform grooming procedures including bathing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards or customer preferences.
- Assess each dog’s health and behaviour to ensure safe handling during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of grooming tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service by advising pet owners on grooming needs and aftercare.
- Handle dogs with patience and care, ensuring their safety at all times during grooming.
- Keep detailed records of each dog’s grooming history and specific requirements.
- Follow health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections or injuries.
- Assist with general animal care tasks as needed, including feeding or administering medication under supervision.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dog Groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming styles.
- Knowledge of veterinary practices related to animal health and safety.
- Excellent animal care skills with a gentle yet confident handling style.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting when handling larger dogs or equipment.
- Organisation skills to manage multiple appointments efficiently.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their wellbeing.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in dog grooming are preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial experience.
Pay: £100.00-£101.00 per day
