Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel premises. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality , with a keen eye for detail and excellent leadership skills. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the smooth operation of the hotel. The Head Housekeeper will play a vital role in upholding our reputation for exceptional service and hygiene standards.
Duties
- Oversee and participate in the cleaning of hotel rooms and self-catering lodges
- Inspect rooms and lodges to ensure they meet 4-star standards prior to guest arrival
- Ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the housekeeping department
- Oversee housekeeping hours and ensure they are aligned with departmental budgets
- Maintain and uphold high cleanliness and presentation standards at all times
- Lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping team
- Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and linens
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Liaise with reception and maintenance teams to support smooth operations
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any housekeeping issues
Experience
- Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or management role, ideally within a 4-star hotel or similar environment
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to work operationally
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
