Overview
We are seeking to employ 2 full time, enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team, one to be based in our baby room and another working with our 2 -4 year olds
The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. You will be responsible for supporting their development through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and parents. A strong background in early childhood education and experience with managing groups of children is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages their social skills.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organised nursery environment.
- Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates on their child's progress and development.
- Lead by example, demonstrating leadership qualities that inspire both children and fellow staff members.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that may occur.
Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare settings is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage groups of children effectively while promoting positive behaviour.
