The role

To support independent community pharmacies to succeed professionally and commercially for the benefit of their patients. As a not-for-profit organisation we are committed to reinvesting in service provision.

To build relationships and maintain trust and confidence with customers to maximise satisfaction, retain and grow business within the NPA Insurance portfolio.

Deliver Sales and Service performance against set targets.
-
Act as first point of contact and provide solutions for customers in the sale or renewal of products/services.
Key facts:
Hybrid-working pattern: Home working blended with at least 1 day per week working at the NPA’S Head Office, just outside of London.
Availability: Immediate or very short notice

Essential:

Competent in sales techniques

Ability to identify potential sales opportunities through active listening and analysis of customers’ needs

Previous experience of handling inbound and outbound calls within a general insurance environment

Able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills

Experience of sale or renewal of products/policies
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
-
Demonstrable knowledge of resolving any issues from sales or service queries
-
Previous experience of preparing new business, renewal, midterm adjustment and cancellation documentation

Ability to demonstrate competent influencing, negotiation, networking and prioritisation skills
-
Competent in Microsoft applications

Competent demonstrable sales technique
-
Able to demonstrate basic decision making and problem-solving skills

Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable:
-
Insurance qualification (successful candidates will be required to work towards recognised qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute)

Previous experience within a general insurance environment

The National Pharmacy Association is the representative body for the independent community pharmacy sector across the four nations of the UK and the provider of support, services and activities to community pharmacies and their teams.
