- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or light snacks as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces regularly.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Manage cash registers or point-of-sale systems accurately, processing transactions swiftly.
- Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Engage with customers in a professional manner, addressing any enquiries or concerns promptly.
Skills
- Proven barista experience with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards to uphold hygiene practices within the establishment.
- Experience in serving customers in a busy environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assist with food preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods without compromising service quality.
