Excel Supply are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Qualified Nursery Assistant to join a friendly and nurturing nursery setting in Salford for an immediate start.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support the learning and development of children in their early years, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where every child can flourish. The successful candidate will work closely with the nursery team to provide high-quality care and support in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the day-to-day care, learning, and development of children aged 0–5 years
- Planning and delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Promoting children's social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning
- Assisting with personal care, meal times, and daily routines
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment
- Observing children's progress and contributing to learning journals and assessments
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
