About the Role: Sheffield is known for its proud heritage of engineering excellence, and at Skovgaard Solutions, we bring that same precision and quality to modern IT support. We power business technology behind the scenes, ensuring that day-to-day IT infrastructure runs cleanly, securely, and seamlessly. We believe that internal support should be proactive, helpful, and hassle-free. We are looking for an IT Support Analyst who can take ownership of our technical service delivery. You aren't just taking support tickets; you are solving core technical challenges. You will act as the key liaison for internal teams and partners, bridging the gap between complex network/system requirements and intuitive, user-friendly solutions. You are the champion for technical reliability in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Our office is located in the heart of Sheffield. We value a workspace that fosters teamwork—think modern setup, collaborative zones, and great local access.
- Technical Appreciation: We don't need you to convince us that IT support matters. We know it does. You will have direct input into how we upgrade and streamline our tech stack.
- Modern Stack: We work with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and modern ticket systems. We speak the language of efficient tech delivery.
- Growth: You will have a training budget for certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator) to keep your skills sharp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Ownership: Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support requests through our ticketing system, email, and direct calls with speed and accuracy.
- End-to-End Troubleshooting: Lead the process from initial problem diagnosis and access management to hardware deployment and system upgrades.
- User Administration: Manage accounts, access rights, and onboarding/offboarding processes using Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Documentation & Prevention: Don't just patch issues. Document solutions, build knowledge-base guides, and identify trends to fix problems before they happen.
- Stakeholder Management: Present technical fixes clearly to non-technical staff and management. You can explain how to resolve an issue, not just that it was fixed.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years in IT Support, Helpdesk, or Service Desk Analyst roles handling multi-system environments.
- Track Record: Strong hands-on experience with tickets, hardware configuration, and system management. Show us your problem-solving approach and technical adaptability.
- Tooling: You are a Microsoft 365 and Active Directory power user (User Access, Group Policies, Azure AD basics).
- Language Skills: English (Fluent/Native) is required for clear daily communication and technical documentation.
- Mindset: You are pragmatic. You know when to apply a quick fix and when to step back and re-engineer a lasting solution.
