About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be confident working across both commercial and domestic environments, providing first-response diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and plumbing support.
You will be responsible for attending breakdowns, diagnosing faults, carrying out reactive and planned maintenance, completing installation/repair tasks, and ensuring work is completed to the highest standard while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and call-outs
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and domestic gas systems
- Carry out plumbing repairs and minor installations
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Work safely to industry standards and company policies
- Provide clear job sheet reporting and customer communication
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Current Commercial Gas (COCN1 or CODNCO1)
- Current Domestic Gas ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, etc.)
- NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing (or equivalent) desirable
- Gas Safe registered (individual or via company)
- Full UK driving licence
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication and customer service attitude
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a breakdown/maintenance role
- First-response field experience
- Experience in heating system repairs and controls

Pay: £48,000.00-£60,186.71 per year
