Assistant Property Manager (Part-Time – 3/4 Days a Week)
Salary: Approx. £20,000 per annum
Flexible working – remote with bi-weekly catch up meetings
Are you a proactive, highly organised individual with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility? We’re looking for an Assistant Property Manager to support the management of a diverse residential property portfolio.
This is a management-focused role – no lettings or viewings involved – ideal for someone who thrives on taking initiative, solving problems, and driving operational excellence in property management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of day-to-day property management and strategic decision-making
- Liaise with agents to ensure properties are let at optimal market rates
- Ensure all properties are compliant with current legislation (EPCs, EICRs, gas safety, etc.)
- Manage and coordinate renovations, liaising with builders and contractors
- Oversee the sale or purchase of properties, acting as key liaison with agents and solicitors
- Assist with legal matters, such as disputes, lease extensions, and tenant evictions
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and migrated to the cloud
- Liaise with bookkeeper to ensure timely rent collection and payments
- Work closely with accountants to prepare year-end accounts and tax returns
- Regular check-ins with property owners and director
- Collaborate with existing managing agents and assist with ongoing property and maintenance issues
About You:
- A self-starter who can work independently and use initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Able to multitask and manage multiple properties/projects
- Up-to-date knowledge of property regulations and compliance requirements
- Comfortable managing legal documentation and notices
- Tech-savvy, with experience using cloud-based tools
- Ability to use AI to managed the data and tasks on a daily basis
Requirements:
- Previous experience in property management or real estate
- Degree in business, real estate, or a related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic bookkeeping knowledge and AI tools like Claude
- Understanding of UK property law, lettings compliance, and building maintenance
Location: Primarily remote with bi-weekly catch-ups
Days: 3–4 days per week, flexible hours
Salary: Approx. £20,000 per annum (based on part-time schedule)
