Sunflower Day Nursery at Courtenay Park is seeking a motivated and passionate Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprentice to join our team as a Room Lead.
This role is ideal for a proactive, influential professional who will take an operational lead for the care, learning, and development of the children, while supporting and leading the practice of other staff members to ensure the highest quality of childcare and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily room operations and activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Support, mentor, and manage the room's staff team, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards.
- Plan and deliver age appropriate learning experiences, managing the observation, assessment, and progress tracking cycle.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and external professionals.
- Maintain excellent health, safety, and hygiene standards, including resource allocation and risk assessments.
Requirements & Details:
- Hours: 30–42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, shifts between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM).
- Qualification: Must hold a DfE full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Skills: Strong leadership, management, organisational, and English communication skills, alongside experience in a childcare setting.
- Compliance: Position is subject to two successful references, an enhanced DBS check, and a probationary period.

Pay: £20,607.60-£29,194.10 per year
