Your Role!
West Lancs Borough Council is currently looking for Estates Surveyors, at various levels. You will be part of a small, busy team and will support the Commercial Estates Manager in the development of long-term asset management strategies, ensuring our assets are safe, compliant, energy efficient, and meeting their full potential in terms of income and outcomes.
We have several key projects planned that will change and enhance the make up of the Council's asset base.
We require an Estates Surveyor to take on a busy case load of rent reviews, lease renewals, acquisitions, and disposals.

Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join West Lancashire Borough Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
