Children's Services Coordinator Every Second Care Children's Services
At Every Second Care Children's Services, we're looking for an organised, proactive and reliable Children's Services Coordinator to support our growing team across Liverpool, St Helens, Ormskirk and Knowsley.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with managers, Team Leaders and external professionals to help make sure our homes run smoothly and that children receive the highest standard of care.
Salary & Hours
- £28,000 - £30,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
- Flexibility is required, as some meetings or operational demands may fall outside of these hours.
- Participation in the management on-call rota is required. This attracts an additional payment of £250 per on-call week.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as regular travel between our homes is a key part of the role.
Main responsibilities
- Producing and managing staff rotas.
- Checking that care plans, risk assessments and other records are up to date.
- Liaising with social workers, local authorities, health, education and other professionals.
- Supporting recruitment, including arranging interviews and onboarding.
- Completing audits and monitoring compliance.
- Booking appointments, meetings and training.
- Liaising with families and friends where appropriate.
- Completing staff supervisions and keeping records up to date.
- Updating electronic recording systems.
- Taking minutes during meetings and distributing actions.
- Contacting each home daily, recording updates and escalating any concerns.
- Visiting each home at least once a week to complete spot checks, offer support and ensure standards are maintained.
- Organising and attending team meetings.
- Supporting managers with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks including finances, incident reviews, reporting and tracking spreadsheets .
What we're looking for
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Someone who is proactive and able to manage their own workload.
- Good IT skills and confidence using electronic recording systems.
- The ability to build positive relationships with staff, children and professionals.
- A good eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
