The job in a nutshell:
To be responsible for the management of several client accounts and respond to new sales enquiries as and when required. You will possess an excellent knowledge of all aspects of managing new and existing projects, including product development, to assist clients in meeting their requirements.
As we modernize our operations, you will support the adoption of our new CRM system, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and provide data-driven insights. Working closely with the AI Innovation Hub to pilot new tools and embed them into daily workflows. You will work as a team, sharing collective responsibility for the effective delivery of the high-quality service and products for which we are renowned
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management: Build long and lasting business relationships with existing and new clients resulting in an increase in the range of products manufactured.
- Project Management: Act as a Relationship and Project Manager across a portfolio of several accounts, building strong engagement with key stakeholders.
- Sales & Growth: Identify and follow up on any opportunities to broaden the current client base and act as an ambassador for the company, promoting us at all relevant opportunities.
- CRM & Data Integrity: Act as a champion for the new CRM system, ensuring all client interactions, lead statuses, and project milestones are recorded accurately to maintain a "single source of truth."
- AI & Technology Champion: Act as the departmental superuser for AI and digital tools. Proactively identify opportunities to use AI (Copilot, CRM automation, predictive analytics) to improve client outcomes and streamline admin. Liaise with the AI Innovation Hub to pilot and embed new tech.
- Technology & Reporting: Report to the Director of Business Relationship on all new sales enquiries and product development. Use CRM analytics to provide real-time updates on pipeline health and account growth, leverage AI-powered CRM features to enhance client engagement and pipeline management.
- Meeting Coordination: Organize and schedule meetings (on and off-site) to facilitate new product development in line with sales enquiries.
- Accuracy & Quality: Be responsible for the accurate compilation of new product quotations and critical paths. Oversee first production start-ups and carry out product inspections to ensure specifications are achieved.
- Internal Collaboration: Project manage internal departments, clients, and 3rd parties to ensure high-quality samples and products are delivered on time.
- Operational Excellence: Facilitate a bi-weekly client order forecast using integrated digital tools to provide a long-term view for the business and ensure all systems data match.
- Resolution & Improvement: Manage production issues and investigate customer complaints, responding accordingly while balancing the interests of the company and the client.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal.
- Tech-Savviness: High level of competency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Proven ability to quickly learn and master new software, specifically CRM platforms. Demonstrable interest in technology, AI, or digital tools — whether through personal projects, self-learning, or previous roles where you drove tech adoption.
- Communication: Confident "people person" able to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel. Strong verbal communication and the ability to listen, discuss, and advise.
- Resilience: Ability to handle multiple demands, be self-managing, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Decision Making: Ability to work as part of a team but also use your own initiative to make critical decisions when necessary.
- Flexibility: Ability to react and respond positively to changes in priority and workload

What this role offers:
- Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
- Location: Chichester, West Sussex (On-site)
