The Opportunity:
We're excited to offer a unique opportunity for number of placements on a project at Fawley Refinery Southampton, where we require operatives to support a maintenance project. The environment is highly safety concious and there is zero toleration of Alcohol and Drug use. All training will be provided but prior experience of working in this type of environment is advantageous. shift pattern is 12 hours days / nights (typically 7.00-19.00) 6-7 days per week .The work starts w/c 21st September and continues for 5-6 weeks approximately. Out of hours working on nights and weekends is 1.5 times payrate.
Personnel who are recruited and perform well on the project will be rewarded with opportunities at other projects locally and across the UK.
Confined Space Standby Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Client’s site induction rules regarding safety etc
- Adhere to Breathe Safety Engineers Handbook rules and Inductions/ training
- Accept permit from permit control and understand the permit requirements
- Monitor personnel in and out of the confined space safely with tally board
- Stop personnel entering the confined space if they do not have correct PPE on
- Evacuate the confined space if there is an emergency
- Close up and prevent entry to the confined space as required
BA Standby Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Client’s site induction rules regarding safety etc
- Adhere to Breathe Safety Engineers Handbook rules and Inductions/ training
- Set up Breathing Apparatus and conduct pre-use checks as training given
- Monitor users in Breathing Apparatus
- Evacuate users if an emergency arises
About You:
- Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility in working
- Physically fit enough to walk and scale stairs
- Care genuinely about peoples safety and take a pride in being trusted with thier welfare while working
