The Perfect Press is an established independent ironing service with over 9 years of experience and a loyal customer base in Cheltenham.
Due to continued demand and regular enquiries, I am looking for a reliable, trustworthy and experienced person to join my business as a Part-Time Ironing Assistant.
This is a home-based position, initially offering around 8–10 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as the business grows.
The role
You will be responsible for completing ironing to the high standard expected by The Perfect Press.
The work will include a variety of garments and household items, such as:
- Shirts and blouses
- T-shirts and tops
- Trousers
- Dresses and other garments
- Bedding and larger household items
You will need to take pride in your work and be confident handling different fabrics and garments carefully.
There is no direct customer contact involved in this role. Collection and delivery is provided by me.
Training
Full training will be provided.
I have developed my own working methods and standards over many years of running The Perfect Press and will provide a training manual with clear instructions on how I expect different items to be handled.
The position will begin with a paid practical trial, using ironing provided by The Perfect Press, so that we can both make sure the role is a good fit.
If the trial is successful and we decide to continue working together, the appropriate ironing equipment will be supplied by The Perfect Press.
About you
I am looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Experienced and confident with ironing
- Very careful with other people’s belongings
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Takes pride in producing a high-quality finish
- Able to follow instructions and established methods
- Organised and able to work independently
- Looking for regular, ongoing part-time work
Previous professional ironing experience would be an advantage, although someone with excellent ironing skills who is willing to learn our specific methods will also be considered.
Reliable transport would be an advantage but is not essential.
Hours
Initially 8–10 hours per week, with agreed working days.
There is potential for additional hours as the business develops and demand increases.
