SWK Property Services is a fast-growing commercial and residential property maintenance company working with managing agents, landlords, housing providers and commercial clients.
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Property Maintenance Estimator to support our growing workload by carrying out site surveys, preparing accurate quotations and providing technical advice across a wide range of maintenance projects.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already works independently and is looking to take on additional work on a flexible basis.
The Role
You'll be responsible for attending properties, assessing maintenance requirements and preparing professional quotations for a variety of works including:
- General Building Repairs
- Electrical Works
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Decorating
- Roofing
- HIU & FCU Works
- MVHR Systems
- Planned Maintenance
- Reactive Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Attend site surveys across London and surrounding areas.
- Assess maintenance and repair requirements.
- Take site measurements and photographs.
- Prepare clear, accurate and commercially competitive quotations.
- Estimate labour, materials and subcontractor costs.
- Identify any additional works required.
- Submit quotations within agreed timeframes.
- Liaise with our Operations Team where clarification is required.
- Maintain a professional approach with clients at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Previous estimating experience within property maintenance or construction.
- Good knowledge of building repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret specifications and site requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational skills.
Desirable
- Experience quoting for commercial property maintenance.
- Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance.
- Experience working with managing agents, housing associations or commercial landlords.
