Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Steel Fixer to join a dynamic construction team. As a Steel Fixer, you will be responsible for accurately assembling and installing reinforcement steel bars (rebar) that form the framework of concrete structures. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and safety of various building projects, from commercial complexes to infrastructure developments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and physical endurance to deliver high-quality results efficiently.
Duties
- The main duty will be Balcony Fitting
- Installing, assembling, and securing structural balconies, balustrades, and handrails.
- Key duties include reading technical drawings, performing on-site drilling or welding, and maintaining strict safety standards.
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel bars using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to meet project requirements.
- Assemble rebar frameworks on-site with precision, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Use heavy lifting equipment safely to transport steel materials around the construction site.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, roofers, and other trades to coordinate the installation process seamlessly.
- Conduct inspections of installed rebar for quality control and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in welding techniques for reinforcing steel connections.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as pliers, hammers, chisels, and measuring tapes.
- Experience operating power tools including grinders, cutters, and drills.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to steel fabrication and structural support systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during material handling.
- Knowledge of masonry practices relevant to reinforcing concrete structures.
- Basic understanding of roofing systems where applicable in structural reinforcement projects.
- Valid commercial driving license preferred for transporting materials between sites.
