Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your hospitality skills in a lively restaurant environment, contributing to the overall success of our establishment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus in a courteous manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue
- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly
- Handle payments accurately, including processing cash and card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, condiments, and utensils
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, adhering to hygiene regulations and procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards guests and team members
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes
- Experience in guest services with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Upselling skills to promote menu items effectively and enhance guest satisfaction
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus but not mandatory
- Note that this is a position which may require standing for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- We do provide basic training to all of our staff.
