About the Role:
A leading culinary training provider based in London is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Chef & Culinary Trainer specializing in authentic Turkish and Anatolian gastronomy. The successful candidate will design, structure, and deliver high-level practical culinary masterclasses, manage operational kitchen training, and demonstrate complex traditional cooking techniques to professional aspirants, commercial kitchen teams, and culinary students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute structured culinary training curricula focusing on traditional and modern Turkish cuisine.
- Deliver hands-on practical demonstrations, including traditional heritage baking, authentic butchery/charcuterie prep, slow-cooking techniques, and Anatolian recipe engineering.
- Teach comprehensive kitchen operations, menu design, ingredient sourcing, cost control, waste management, and professional plate presentation.
- Implement, enforce, and train trainees on rigorous food safety management systems, HACCP standards, and UK health & safety regulations.
- Evaluate trainee performance, assess practical technical competencies, and provide structured mentorship and feedback.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, equipment maintenance, and kitchen inventory control during all live training sessions.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of professional culinary industry experience in high-volume, gourmet, or authentic Turkish hospitality operations.
- Proven track record (minimum 3–5 years) in formal culinary instruction, vocational training, or senior kitchen leadership (Executive Chef / Head Chef / Culinary Educator).
- Formal professional cookery qualification (NVQ Level 3/4 equivalent or a Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Culinary Arts / Tourism and Hospitality Management).
- Deep, specialized technical mastery of authentic regional Turkish recipes, traditional wood-fire/grill techniques, sourdough/focaccia/flatbread artisan prep, and heritage flavor profiles.
- Advanced Level 3/4 Award in Food Safety for Catering / Level 3 HACCP certification (or international equivalent).
- Excellent verbal communication, mentorship, and operational organizational skills.
