Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the well-being, safety, and independence of clients, ensuring they receive personalised care tailored to their needs. Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as required
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Manage behaviour effectively and compassionately, especially in challenging situations
- Support with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation
- Administer first aid in emergency situations and follow health and safety guidelines diligently
- Assist with heavy lifting or physical support for clients with mobility challenges
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and senior care is highly desirable
- Experience in caregiving roles involving patient care or childcare is beneficial
- Familiarity with medication administration and behaviour management techniques is advantageous
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
- Certification in first aid or related health & safety training is an asset

Pay: £13.00 per hour
