Mancia Sicilian Kitchen is seeking a skilled and adaptable individual to join our culinary team. We are a 64-seat casual dining establishment specializing in exceptional pasta, pizza, and a diverse grill selection. We require a candidate with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining our high standards. While experience with traditional Sicilian cuisine is advantageous, we welcome applications from all who can demonstrate the ability to produce quality dishes in a high-volume environment.
We are offering a competitive hourly rate, along with opportunities for skill and career development, suitable for both short-term and long-term commitments. Additionally, full-time employees can anticipate earning an additional £100-£300 per month in gratuities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the menu and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist the head chef with ordering supplies as needed.
- Work as part of a supportive team, committed to continuous improvement.
Experience
- Applicants need demonstrable experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role, with a strong grasp of professional kitchen environments, cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Possessing a strong passion for food production and hospitality, coupled with a keen eagerness to learn and contribute to the team's collective success.
- Culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
