Summary
We are seeking a Community Engagement & Marketing Officer to join our team in Birmingham, West Midlands. This vital role involves developing and implementing community outreach and marketing strategies to promote our credit union’s mission and services, to raise awareness and onboard new members throughout the Birmingham postcode.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community engagement initiatives that foster strong relationships within the Birmingham postcodes.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships that increase awareness and accessibility of credit union services.
- Manage marketing campaigns across various channels including social media, email, and local events.
- Coordinate activities to support community projects.
- Oversee social media platforms to enhance our online presence.
- Collaborate with team members to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of engagement strategies.
- Organise and coordinate outreach activities, workshops, and educational sessions
- promoting financial wellbeing.
- Represent the credit union at community events to build awareness and trust.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management and community engagement.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- Excellent social media management abilities.
- Experience in marketing or promotional activities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
