Salary point: 21 (£15,641 per annum, pro-rata of £26,305 per annum FTE)

The Society of St James (SSJ) has been working in Hampshire for over 50 years, delivering high impact, person-centred, accommodation services to adults and young people experiencing homelessness, problematic substance use and mental health problems. The Impact You'll Make
We have a vacancy for a motivated, driven, experienced Mental Health Wellbeing Worker supporting residents who have complex needs in the community. Delivering a trauma-informed, wrap-around, client-led support in their accommodation.
Essential Qualities and Skills
- It is essential that you have experience of working with vulnerable people in the community or in a residential setting.
- Working as part of the team, you will support clients and be committed to providing a holistic therapeutic package, paying attention to mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of health, in addition to the physical body.
- You will meet with individuals across the city to offer wellbeing support and interventions, adopting a person-centred approach when supporting individuals. The interventions will be on a one-to-one basis, for those presenting with wellbeing support needs.
- You will have the ability to build positive working relationships and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external contacts and clients. You will sign post individuals for support with partner agencies and liaise with them to ensure person-centred support and care planning. This will involve information sharing with relevant agencies to ensure wrap around support and to reduce 999 calls and mental health crisis episodes.
- We are looking for someone who can work flexibly to meet the needs of clients, a sense of humour and empathy for the client group is essential.
- Record keeping to collate statistics and evidence practice will be an important part of the role.
- ESSENTIAL – Car Driver and must hold a valid UK driving licence.
