I’m a 26 lad with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy looking for support workers/carers. Experience preferred but training is available I am a full-time powered wheelchair user with limited use of arms and I live independently in my own flat in Market Weighton. The job will involve using a hoist, personal care, preparing and cooking meals, dressing me, help with showering, help with shopping, helping with the upkeep of my flat, and driving my wheelchair accessible vehicle to enable me to access any activities I enjoy doing. This includes going to the pub/socialising, going to the cinema or bowling etc. I’m looking for someone who is patient, outgoing, with a good sense of humour and positive attitude. Must have a Driving license and be over 21 (we can't insure drivers under 21) Male or female I don’t mind.
Looking for Age range 21-35
Pay: £14.50 per hour
