Sales & Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Baytree Garden Centre
Job Type: Part-time minimum 18 hours
Baytree Garden Centre is looking for an organised and detail-oriented Sales & Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing sales and purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Matching, checking and coding invoices.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ledger accounts.
- Assisting with credit control and monitoring outstanding balances.
- Supporting month-end procedures and account reconciliations.
- Liaising with suppliers, customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Providing general administrative support to the finance department.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a sales and/or purchase ledger role
- Has excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Is confident using Microsoft Excel and Accounting software
- Experience of Pegasus Opera preferable
- Has strong organisational and time management skills
- Can work independently as well as part of a team
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
