Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Baker to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of food items, including baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a love for food production and culinary arts to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including baked goods, according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Follow organisational procedures for food storage, handling, and waste disposal
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, or baking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Culinary qualifications or relevant training are advantageous but not essential
- A passion for creating high-quality dishes and baked goods with an eye for presentation

All our food is freshly prepared daily. Nothing is frozen or fried. We have an organic vegetable garden on site which serves the kitchen for much of the year.
Daytime hours. Straight Shifts.
Normal hours 8am-5pm, 5 days out of 7. To include weekend work
