Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week
Salary: Starting from £16.00 per hour, dependant on experience (negotiable)
Start Date: Immediate start available.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bench Joiner to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be a skilled craftsman with experience in producing high-quality bespoke joinery, working from technical drawings, and operating a variety of woodworking machinery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing quality workmanship and is looking to develop their career within a well-established business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture high-quality bespoke joinery products.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Work with a variety of hardwoods and laminate materials.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Bench Joiner.
- Competent in operating the following machinery:
- Dim Saw
- Spindle Moulder
- Edge Bander
- Planer
- Sander
- Ability to accurately work from technical drawings.
- Experience working with a range of hardwoods.
- Experience working with laminate materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety practices.
Desirable Skills & Experience
While not essential, experience in the following would be advantageous:
- Solid surface fabrication.
- Spray finishing.
