We are looking for an experienced and motivated Grounds Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance, development, and enhancement of a wide range of outdoor environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality grounds and landscaping services.
As Grounds Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising a dedicated team, and ensuring that all sites are maintained to the highest standards of safety, presentation, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day grounds maintenance operations.
- Lead and motivate a team carrying out mowing, pruning, planting, fertilising, and general landscaping duties.
- Plan and deliver landscaping and improvement projects, including pathways, retaining walls, fencing, and other outdoor features.
- Operate and oversee the use of machinery, equipment, and irrigation systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identifying maintenance requirements and health and safety risks.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and in line with company standards and industry regulations.
- Manage materials, equipment, and stock levels.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to team members.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
✅ Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, or a similar role.
✅ Previous experience managing or supervising teams.
✅ Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance and outdoor projects.
✅ Experience operating machinery and power tools, including excavators.
✅ Understanding of irrigation systems and general site maintenance.
✅ Good knowledge of health and safety practices.
✅ Excellent organisational and communication skills.
✅ A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
