Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various wooden structures and components. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as the capability to perform masonry tasks when necessary. The Joiner will work on a variety of projects, including roofing and other carpentry-related assignments. Site work and residential work undertaken.
Must able to commute to site and have own tools. CSCS required.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures according to specifications and design plans.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete joinery tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the assembly and installation of materials.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and masons, to ensure project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Skills
- Proven experience in joinery with a strong understanding of fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to the joinery trade.
- Ability to perform masonry tasks as required for specific projects.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members on-site.
